Rick Tyler is a baby boomer…born October 10, 1957 in Miami, Florida. His parents were Tennesseans, raised in Nashville during the turbulent years of the 1930’s and 40’s. They were high school sweethearts who married in the immediate aftermath of World War II. After returning home from a two year stint as part of the American occupation force in Japan, Dick Tyler attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville on the GI Bill.
