History instructs us that America was born of a revolution. That revolution was carried out by the thirteen colonies who had come to exist under the governing authority of the British monarchy. A war was fought between the colonials and the red coats. Against extraordinary odds, the colonial fighting force emerged triumphant. A constitution was drafted and ratified by the respective sovereign states and the newly minted American nation came into existence. Interestingly, however, was the fact that the original Constitutional Convention was actually a runaway exercise in unauthorized usurpation. What should have amounted to a mere modification of the Articles of Confederation was transformed into a far more extensive and elaborate endeavor. The Anti-Federalists were exceedingly wary of the end product that resulted. Only the adoption of the Bill of Rights sufficed to elicit their eventual acquiescence to the new American constitutional republic. History has now fully vindicated their enormous apprehension. The Bill of Rights, though of great power and significance, has proven to be an inadequate bulwark against the tyrannical encroachments of the national government. The legitimate nation and government established in 1787 under the terms, stipulations, prohibitions, and general parameters of the Constitution, has long ago ceased to exist. An illicit, illegitimate and unlawful revolution has transpired. It has, to a great extent, been a bloodless coup…but a criminal overthrow of legitimate authority nonetheless.

The Revolution Myth

The original American Revolution was substantially in keeping with Biblical protocol. The duly constituted representatives of the Bible-believing, Christian colonists effectively seceded from the mother country of England in response to the monarchy’s abdication from the exercise of just and lawful governance. God’s word states in 2 Samuel 23:3 that, “He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.”

Romans 13:3-4 further delineates that lawful government is to be a terror to evil while at the same time praising good works.

Acts 5:29 clearly instructs that when government forces our hand to make a choice, that “we ought to obey God rather than man.”

The British monarchy was guilty, in spades, of having become an outright tyrannical power. The colonies had endured injustice upon injustice to the point of absurdity. The grievances enumerated in the Declaration of Independence were far more than ample justification for the corrective action they proceeded to carry out. The following words found in the Declaration really say it all. They read,

“…that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government…” and that, “…prudence indeed shall dictate, that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes, and accordingly all experience has shown that mankind is more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government and to provide new guards for their future security.”

Indeed…the colonies in no way plunged hastily into the conflict and circumstances that became the American Revolution. Unlike the French Revolution that followed later, the American War for Independence was scrupulously predicated on Biblical principles of individual liberty and responsibility as well as an avid devotion to due process and justice under the law of God. The French Revolution was humanistic in its philosophical underpinnings, while its American predecessor enjoyed the full support and leadership provided by large numbers of the clergy…also referred to by the red coats as the Black Robed Regiment. The events which led to the establishment of America were as much a reformation as a revolution, and certainly were not indicative of sinful rebellion as apologists for the monarchy seek to portray.

Power Corrupts

The Anti-Federalists had great reservation about conferring excessive power upon a national government. Recognizing the corrupting influence of power and authority…they feared a centralized national government would exhibit an inordinate propensity toward the abuse of the same. Of course, it didn’t take long for trends to begin evolving in that very direction. It is truly alarming to witness the manner in which the accumulation of power brings about corrupt and debilitating results. The founding fathers understood the theological and doctrinal premise of the fallen nature of man. Jefferson, in fact, penned the following words in the Kentucky Resolutions: “In questions of power, let no more be heard of confidence in men. But let us bind them down from mischief with the chains of the Constitution.” Yes…the Constitution and Bill of Rights were to be the law to govern the government…the supreme law of the land! It was clearly understood that if government chose to violate the unambiguous words of the Constitution…they would, in fact, become criminal government themselves…no longer operating under a mantle of legitimacy and validity. Very early on in the nation’s history, there were frontal assaults upon the explicit limitations of power set forth in the Constitution. Individuals such as Alexander Hamilton were quick to advocate for central governmental power far beyond the boundaries laid out in the Constitution. Critical to this phenomenon was the advocacy for a private central bank that would inevitably evolve into the de facto power behind the throne…as had long been the case in European nations as a whole.

It was most fortunate that the private bank charter was overcome and defeated during the presidency of Andrew Jackson. Through the mechanism of market manipulation, which is achieved through the control of the money supply, the private central bank was able to engage in all manner of behind the scenes mischief. Overall, the secretive machinations of the private bankers have fortified and augmented the growth and power of strong central government. Such was certainly the case throughout the unfolding of much of the first half of the 19^th century. The result of such developing activity and intrigue was a climate in which a major showdown would ensue between competing forces and ideologies. By the mid 1800’s it was becoming obvious that determined, authoritarian federalist powers were simply not going to relent in their continuing quest to amass an unassailable level of strength and control over the people and the individual states. The orderly secession of those states who became the Confederacy was the logical and appropriate response to an unfortunate yet undeniable reality. The Southern states were merely insisting upon the right to exercise the very same liberty and independence for which the American Revolution had been fought. Lamentably, they were not properly prepared or adequately equipped to prevail over the determined forces of federal tyranny. The so-called Civil War was a travesty of justice  almost beyond comprehension. The conflict certainly failed to meet the defining characteristics of a civil war in that the South in no way sought to attack and vanquish the North. In fact, the North responded to lawful and appropriate Southern secession with brutal and naked aggression. Of course, a matter settled by force is a matter not settled. The criminal and murderous attack upon the South is not made legitimate by the passage of time. If anything, logic and common sense now prove beyond doubt that the Southern states were extraordinarily prescient in their assessment and conviction. Ironically, in waging such violent attack upon the Confederacy, the North utterly and completely vindicated the South’s attempt to peacefully secede. Only those who fail to understand the law and truth of God believe that ‘might makes right.’ History is replete with instances wherein evil and injustice prevail, for a season, over those seeking to champion truth and that which is right. In the final accounting of the affairs and interactions of men, God’s truth and justice will prevail in totality.

Post War Between the States Developments

After the criminal subjugation of the South, the advocates of strong central government wasted no time in consolidating their gains. The early 1900’s were marked by war on a global scale, as well as the procedurally invalid adoption of the Federal Reserve Act and the 16^th and 17^th Amendments. The Federal Reserve came about as a result of criminal collusion at Jekyll Island, Georgia in November of 1910. It served to reestablish the private central bank charter in America which continues to reign supreme right up to the present moment. The 16^th and 17^th Amendments were declared to have been ratified in 1913 while, in reality, not one single state properly ratified the supposed addendums to the Constitution. The 16^th Amendment made provision for and ultimately ushered in a Marxist income tax, while the 17^th Amendment stripped the individual states of their power in the national government through a form of disenfranchisement. As a result of this amendment, the state legislatures no longer chose their allotted two U.S. senators. Instead, these vital representatives of the states’ interest were now to be chosen by popular state-wide vote…a process readily susceptible to manipulative and abusive tactics. Two world wars and a great depression rendered America as putty in the hands of those coercive statist utopians who were indefatigably devoted to the cause of an all powerful central government.

The Revolution Was

It is tragic, but true, that a slow and largely stealth like revolution has successfully subverted and overtaken the original American constitutional republic. Our Constitution and Bill of Rights are only a hollow shell…having long since been gutted and eviscerated by policies of abject Socialism and tyrannical repression. All that remains is lip service toward our nation’s founding documents and there is little more than a glimmer of hope for the future of our people.

What is vital to understand, however, is the fact that those who seek to champion reform and restoration today, are in no way revolutionaries. Instead, they are simply the advocates of a return to what was originally established and codified by the framers of the republic. Like those principled Christian men…the modern reformers are guided by the tenets and precepts of God’s word, the Holy Bible. In summation, the just and noble call today is to take up the mantle and authority of counter revolution in opposition to all that has come to supplant that which is legitimate, just, and true.
